Intro
Stroke is the world's leading cause of disability and the world's third leading cause of death. Every two seconds, someone is injured. Every two minutes, nineteen of the injured die.
Stroke is a collective term for intracerebral hemorrhage (hemorrhagic stroke) and cerebral infarction (ischemic stroke). Among the two-thirds who survive a stroke, half are permanently disabled for life. That makes stroke one of the world's worst public diseases.
Help Us Help
MPM actively explores the mysteries of the brain in our projects! We also support The Swedish Brain Foundation (Hjärnfonden) among other things, which contributes knowledge and research to the fight against stroke.
