Every day over 50 people in Sweden try to take their lives and significantly more have suicidal thoughts, according to the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Suicide is the leading cause of death among children, teenagerers and young adults aged 15-29 years in Sweden.
MPM supports organizations that fight to make sure neither children nor adults suffer from mental illness. No one should have to feel like the only way out is to end their life. Music is very much about reflections on the joy and pain of life. Experiences of loneliness, alienation and other personal crises are often incorporated into our performances to make visible the naked reality, which sometimes overshadows the joy of life.
